If You're Reading this Blog for the First Time

If you are a guest who is reading the Tomahawk for the first time, welcome. As the sponsor (teacher/moderator), I would like to encourage you to check out older posts.

To the students in tenth-grade advanced English, I want to thank you. You're doing a great job, and each week, your writing improves. Most of all, I'm interested in what you have to say. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that everyone reading this blog is interested in what you have to say. Writing isn't about writing -- it's about thinking, and with each post, you demonstrate your unique thoughts through your responses. As more students respond, I can see a definite growth in your enthusiasm. It's contagious. Moreover, I really like the way you have read the posts carefully and "defined the problem" before addressing its solutions. You've been very positive, too -- and that's always encouraging.

This blog is a reminder to all of us who teach you that young people are a gift. Thank you!
